The play, which debuted at London's National Theatre in 1988, focused on the relationship between the controversial psychoanalyst Melanie Klein and her daughter Melitta. Wright's many other works include Cressida and Vincent in Brixton, as well as his adaptations of Lulu, Naked, and His Dark Materials.
