Siobhan Dillon, Mark Evans of London Ghost the Musical Release "Unchained Melody" Cover

Siobhan Dillon and Mark Evans, who are currently starring in the London production of Ghost the Musical, have recorded a cover of the Righteous Brothers song “Unchained Melody,” which will be released on Sain Records June 11. This is the first track to be lifted from Evans’ debut English album The Journey Home, which will be released June 18.

The song was used in the original 1990 movie of Ghost, and is also featured in the musical, which plays the West End’s Piccadilly Theatre, with Dillon and Evans, as well as Broadway’s Lunt-Fontanne Theatre, with original stars Richard Fleeshman and Caissie Levy.

With music and lyrics by Dave Stewart and Glen Ballard, and a book by Bruce Joel Rubin, Ghost the musical, tells the story of a man who is trapped as a ghost between this world and the next and who is trying to communicate with his girlfriend through a phony psychic in the hope of saving her from his murderer.

Dillon was a finalist in Andrew Lloyd Webber’s first reality TV show How Do You Solve a Problem Like Maria?, and went on to make her West End debut as Patty in Grease. Evans played the role of Fiyero in the West End production of Wicked, with other credits including Curly in the recent UK tour of Oklahoma! and the lead role of Troy Bolton in the London production of High School Musical.
