Jay-Z, Lady Gaga, Spice Girls, et al. Win 2010 Brits Awards

The 2010 Brits Awards, which are the British equivalent of the Grammy Awards, were handed out in London on February 16.

Rap star Jay-Z, who is one of the producers of the hit Broadway show Fela!, was named International Male Solo Artist. The Spice Girls, who are preparing a new musical about their career, took home the award for Performance of the Year for “Wannabe/Who Do You Think You Are?”

Lady Gaga was the night’s big winner, taking home three awards, including International Album for The Face. Other winners included Lily Allen, Dizzee Rascal, JLS, Kasabian, Florence & The Machine, Ellie Goulding, Oasis, and Robbie Williams.
