Las Vegas’ Liberace Museum to Close Doors

The Liberace Museum in Las Vegas, Nevada will shut its doors next month, accordng to published reports.

The museum, which is devoted to the memorabilia of the late pianist, opened in 1979. It is located approximately three miles from the Las Vegas Strip, which has hurt its fortunes as a tourist attraction. Only 50,000 visitors came in the past year, according to reports.

The Liberace Foundation, which operates the museum, said it will continue to fund music scholarships.
