Placido Domingo to Play Las Vegas’ Planet Hollywood Resort

Opera legend Placido Domingo will give a one-night concert at the Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino on Las Vegas on Monday, September 15, the anniversary of Mexican Independence.

Domingo will be joined by the University of Las Vegas Nevada Symphony Orchestra, under the direction of Eugene Kohn, soprano Ana Maria Martinez, and mariachi musicians for this special concert, which will feature opera and zarzuela selections. He is currently the general director of the L.A. Opera as well as a frequent performer at the Metropolitan Opera, where he will be honored on March 15, 2009.
