Nightmare: Ghost Stories to Play Miami

By: Dan Bacalzo · Aug 22, 2008  · Florida

New York City-based Psycho Clan's record-breaking haunted house, Nightmare: Ghost Stories will bring its famed interactive experience to Miami at Soho Studios, September 25-November 2.

Created by Timothy Haskell, and directed by John Harlacher, the haunted house is inspired by an online poll of people's paranormal experiences, which collected the creepiest stories and campfire tales, and, from them, crafted the exceptional ghostly experience. Each of the 17 rooms features a different spirit -- apparitions, phantasms, possessions and more -- all waiting to inflict a unique brand of fear on the unwary.

This classic walk-through haunted house will feature 20 live performers who act out all manner of macabre, scream-inducing scenarios. In addition, after you leave the house, there is The Mirror Maze, a big, spooky labyrinth designed to disorient, confuse and unsettle even the most intrepid navigator, followed by the 4-D Theatre, a fully immersive sensory experience set in a graveyard.

The creative team also includes costume designer Wendy Yang; Art Directors Aaron Haskell and Justin Haskell; video/photographer Jaisen Crockett, special effects designer David Andora; set designer Paul Smithyman, and lighting designer Garin Marshall.
