Stripping the stage of modern sets and props, Thornton Wilder's tale drives home the beauty in our everyday lives that we rarely take the time to appreciate. This theme rings truer today as our lives careen along, aided by the internet and cell phones, masking the magnificence of the individual moments that make up our journey from birth to death.
