Klea Blackhurst’s Everything the Traffic Will Allow to Open Music Theatre of CT’s 2010-2011 Season

Music Theatre of Connecticut has announced its 2010-2011 mainstage season.

The season will open with Klea Blackhurst’s solo show Everything the Traffic Will Allow: The Songs and Sass of Ethel Merman, to run October 8-24. The show is a paean to the Broadway legend and includes many of the songs most associated with her, including “I Got Rhythm,” “You’re the Top,” and “There’s No Business Like Show Business.”

The theater will also offer a production of A.R. Gurney’s Love Letters (February 4-20). Directed by Kevin Connors, the piece tracks a lifelong friendship between a man and a woman through their correspondence. The season will conclude with the revue My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra (April 1-17), also directed by Connors.
