Academy Award-winning actress, dancer and author Shirley MacLaine will share a montage of memorable film moments and private revelations about her extraordinary life in An Evening with Shirley MacLaine, on Saturday, March 24 at 8pm at the Warner Theatre in Torrington, CT.

MacLaine’s five-decade career includes 50 feature films, an Academy Award, a Golden Globe Award, six Emmy Awards, the Cecil B. DeMille Lifetime Achievement Award and the title of international best-selling author. A longtime outspoken advocate for civil rights and liberties, women’s rights and spiritual understanding, MacLaine remains committed to boldly speaking her truth, unedited and uncensored.

MacLaine appeared early in her career on Broadway in Me and Juliet and The Pajama Game, and later appeared in three special engagements on the Great White Way.

She is currently filming the third season of PBS’s Downton Abbey. She will appear as Lady Grantham’s mother, Martha Levinson. On June 7, 2012, the American Film Institute will present her with the 40th AFI Life Achievement Award, the highest honor for a career in film.
