Giuseppe Bausilio, one of the three young actors playing the title role in the Chicago production of Billy Elliot the Musical, will make a special appearance in the annual Magnificent Mile Lights Festival Parade on November 21 at 5:30pm.
Billy Elliot, with music by Elton John and book and lyrics by Lee Hall, features direction by Stephen Daldry and choreography by Peter Darling. The creative team also includes Ian MacNeil (scenic design), Nicky Gillibrand (costume design), Rick Fisher (lighting design) and Paul Arditti (sound design).
Joining Bausilio in the title role of the Chicago production are Tommy Batchelor and Cesar Corrales. Full casting will be announced at a later date.
The musical will arrive in Chicago on March 18 at the Ford Center for the Performing Arts, Oriental Theatre. Tickets for the Chicago engagement of Billy Elliot go on sale to the general public November 20.
