Plays by David Eldrige, David Mamet, Mark Schultz, et al. Set for Steep Theatre’s 2010-2011 Season
Steep Theatre has announced the four plays that will comprise its 2010-2011 season.
The year will open with Mark Schultz’s A Brief History of Helen of Troy (September 23 – October 30). Joanie Schultz will direct the play, which examines a grief-stricken teenager’s quest for love, fame, and beauty. Steep Theatre’s season will continue with David Mamet’s Lakeboat (January 20 – February 26). Set on a boat carrying materials from Chicago to Duluth, the play will be directed by G.J. Cederquist.
Also on the theater’s schedule are the Midwest premiere of David Eldridge’s Festen (May 5 – June 11), directed by Jonathan Berry; and Simon Stephens’ exploration of the London tube bombings of 2005, Pornography, to be directed by Robin Witt.
