Bailiwick Chicago will kick off its 2012-2013 season with the rock musical Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson at the National Pastime Theater. Performances will take place from October 4 to November 11, opening October 8. Scott Ferguson will direct.
Written by Alex Timbers and Michael Friedman, Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson is a satiric look at the story of America's first political maverick in emo-rock-musical form.
The cast will star Matthew Holzfeind as Andrew Jackson and Samantha Dubina as Rachel Jackson. The cast also includes Harter Clingman, Hannah Corneau, Matt Deitchman, Luke Emano, Kyle Gibson, Varris Holmes, Dylan Lainez, Mark LeBeau, Patrick Rooney, Jill Sesso, Tanner Smale, Judy Lea Steele and Brittany Townsley.
The creative team for Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson includes James Morehead (musical director), Christopher Pazdernik (choreographer), Nick Sieben (scenic designer), Kate Setzer Kamphausen (costume designer), Mac Vaughey (lighting designer), Jeff Dublinske (sound designer), and Beau Forbes (fight choreographer).
