The Book of Mormon to Launch New Company in Chicago in December 2012

A new company of the Tony Award-winning musical The Book of Mormon will debut with a twelve week run at the Bank of America Theatre, beginning in December 2012. Additional details will be announced shortly.

It follows a pair of mismatched Mormon boys sent on a mission to a place that’s about as far from Salt Lake City as you can get. The production is co-directed by Trey Parker and Casey Nicholaw, who also serves as the production’s choreographer.

The production features set design by Scott Pask, costume design by Ann Roth, lighting design by Brian MacDevitt and sound design by Brian Ronan. Orchestrations are by Larry Hochman and Stephen Oremus. Music direction and vocal arrangements are by Stephen Oremus.

As recently reported, the National Tour of the musical will launch in Denver in August 2012.
