The Marriott Theatre in Chicago Announces 2013 Mainstage Season
The Marriott Theatre in Chicago has announced the production set for its 2013 mainstage season.
The season will open with the premiere of Now and Forever, The Music of Andrew Lloyd Webber (January 16-March 24), a musical event featuring some of the industry’s best singers, dancers, and choreographers. Next up will be with Rodgers and Hammerstein’s South Pacific (April 3-June 2), the story of U.S. nurse Nellie Forbush, who falls in love with a French plantation owner yet struggles to accept his past. The musical comedy about love and relationships I Love You, You’re Perfect, Now Change (June 5-August 11).
The summer will come to a close with 9 to 5 the Musical (august 14-October 20), a hilarious story of friendship and revenge in the rolodex era with music by Grammy Award-winner Dolly Parton. To end the season, the Marriott Theatre will present Disney’s Mary Poppins (October 23-January 5), the musical based on P.L. Travers’ beloved stories and the classic Disney film.
