Robert Bogue, Dana Ivey, Jodie Markell, et al. Set for Suddenly Last Summer

As previously reported on TheaterMania, the Festival. which runs September 23-26 at various venues, will also include the world premiere of Williams' American Gothic, a look at the parents of a pair of gangsters much like the real life Bonnie and Clyde, as well as producitons of Williams' Orpheus Descending, directed by Nick Potenzieri; and 27 Wagons Full of Cotton, directed by Jeff Glickman.
In addition, the Festival will also feature director Jef Hall-Flavin's production of Eugene O'Neill's Diff'rent, a look at the consequences of a woman's sexual repression that Williams first encountered in 1940 on a trip to Provincetown; Laughing in the Dark With Tennessee, an investigation of the films and screen icons which played a part in Williams' evolving aesthetic; Doug Tompos' Bent to the Flame, in which he plays Williams as a young man, deeply enthralled by the writer Hart Crane; and The Jazz Funeral of Stella Brooks, a site-specific piece that recreates the New Orleans-style funeral of a singer who was a close friend of Williams.
