Geraint Wyn Davies, Seana McKenna, Christopher Plummer Set for Stratford Shakespeare Festival’s 2012 Season

The Stratford Shakespeare Festival has announced the acting company and complete lineup for its 2012 season.

Highlights will include Christopher Plummer’s new autobiographical show, A Word or Two, directed by Tony Award winner Des McAnuff, the Festival’s artistic director; the new musical Wanderlust, written and directed by Morris Panych and composed by Marek Norman; and Gary Griffin’s production of the Tony-winning musical 42nd Street.


Other shows on tap include Shakespeare’s Henry V, Much Ado About Nothing, and Cymbeline; Thornton Wilder’s The Matchmaker; Gilbert and Sullivan’s The Pirates of Penzance; You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown; Sophocles’ Elektra; Alon Nashman and Paul Thompson’s Hirsch; Rick Miller’s McHomer; Michael Hollingsworth’s The War of 1812; and Daniel MacIvor’s The Best Brothers.


Members of this year’s acting company include Ben Carlson, Cynthia Dale, Geraint Wyn Davies, Deborah Hay, Aaron Krohn, Yanna McIntosh, Seana McKenna, Tom Rooney, and John Vickery.
