Vanessa Hudgens and the new Broadway revival of Lerner and Loewe's Gigi celebrated their official opening night on April 8 at the Neil Simon Theatre. Hudgens makes her Broadway debut in the title role opposite Corey Cott (Gaston), Tony winner Victoria Clark (Mamita), Tony nominee Dee Hoty (Aunt Alicia), Tony nominee Howard McGillin (Honoré Lachaille), and Steffanie Leigh (Liane d'Exelmans).

The classic musical, which originally opened on Broadway in 1973, features a brand-new book by Heidi Thomas, choreography by Joshua Bergasse (On the Town), and direction by Eric Schaeffer. The company also includes Cameron Adams, Kathryn Boswell, Max Clayton, Madeleine Doherty, Ashley Blair Fitzgerald, Hannah Florence, Alison Jantzie, Brian Ogilvie, James Patterson, Justin Prescott, Jeffrey C. Sousa, Manny Stark, Tanairi Sade Vazquez, Richard White, Amos Wolff, and Ashley Yeater.

Following the performance, the cast and their guests, a list that included original Damn Yankees star Shannon Bolin, journalist Barbara Walters, and Broadway favorites like Santino Fontana, Ben Fankhauser, Betsy Wolfe, and Lea DeLaria, headed to the newly renovated Tavern on the Green in Central Park for a swanky post-show party.
