Complete casting has been announced for the Broadway premiere of Lynn Nottage's new play Sweat at Studio 54. Alison Wright (The Americans) joins the previously announced cast from the Public Theater's recent engagement. Kate Whoriskey directs.

Wright takes on the role of Jessie, played during the Public Theater run by Miriam Shor. The full cast also includes Carlo Albán (Oscar), James Colby (Stan), Khris Davis (Chris), Johanna Day (Tracey), John Earl Jelks (Brucie), Will Pullen (Jason), Lance Coadie Williams (Evan), and Michelle Wilson (Cynthia).

Sweat tells the story of a group of friends who have spent their lives sharing drinks, secrets, and laughs while working together on the line of a factory floor. But when layoffs and picket lines begin to chip away at their trust, the friends find themselves pitted against one another in the hard fight to stay afloat. The drama ran at the Public Theater last fall and was co-commissioned by the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and Arena Stage. Opening night is set for March 26.

The creative team for Sweat features John Lee Beatty (scenic design), Jennifer Moeller (costume design), Peter Kaczorowski (lighting design), Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen (original music and sound design), and Jeff Sugg (projection design). Sweat is produced on Broadway by Stuart Thompson and Louise Gund.
