Trevor Braun will join the Broadway cast of Billy Elliot the Musical, alternating in the role of Michael with Tony nominee David Bologna, beginning on August 18. Braun's Broadway credits include Flounder in The Little Mermaid and Chip in Beauty and the Beast.

Based on the 2000 film of the same name, the show tells the tale of a young boy with a dream of being a dancer. The Broadway production is directed by Stephen Daldry, and features music by Elton John, book and lyrics by Lee Hall, and choreography by Peter Darling. The production won 10 Tony Awards, including Best Musical, Best Director, and Best Book of a Musical.

The cast also includes David Alvarez, Tommy Batchelor, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish alternating as Billy, Haydn Gwynne as Mrs. Wilkinson, Gregory Jbara as Dad, and Carole Shelley as Grandma.
