David Alvarez is an accomplished performer currently making his Broadway debut as the title role in Billy Elliot. A Recipient of a full merit scholarship to study at the American Ballet Theater's Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis School, he has performed in The Sleeping Beauty, The Nutcracker, and The Flower Festival of Genzano. Also an accomplished pianist, he was named as one of the top 10 young ballet dances to watch by Dance Spirit Magazine. Alvarez won the 2009 Tony Award for Best Actor in a musical along with his fellow Billys, Trent Kowalik and Kiril Kulish.
