Mike Birbiglia will begin his Painfully True Stories Tour on October 13 with a performance at the Wilbur Theater in Boston. The tour is slated to coincide with Simon & Schuster's publication of Birbiglia's Sleepwalk with Me and Other Painfully True Stories on October 12.

In the show, Birbiglia shares a series of comic and self-deprecating tales about his childhood ambitions and adult delusions that led to a life-threatening sleepwalking incident. Additional tour cities, scheduled through November 13, include Philadelphia, Washington, DC, Chicago, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Seattle, and Atlanta, among others.

Birbiglia received Drama Desk, Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Circle nominations for Sleepwalk With Me. Among his television credits are Late Show with Letterman, Late Night with Conan O'Brien, Jimmy Kimmel Live, The View, Late Night with Jimmy Fallon, and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson. He is a frequent contributor to Public Radio International's This American Life, The Moth Radio Hour, and a regular on The Bob & Tom Radio Show.
