Burton, Faber, Nielsen, Richie, et al. Set for Huntington’s The Corn is Green

Full casting has been announced for The Huntington Theatre Company’s production of Emlyn Williams’ The Corn is Green, to run January 9-February 8. Nicholas Martin will direct.

As previously announced, the show will star Kate Burton as inspiring teacher Miss Moffat and her son Morgan Richie as Morgan Evans, the student whose life she transforms. Both of them starred in Martin’s production of the play at the Williamstown Theatre Festival in 2007. The cast will also include Jared Craig (Idwal Morris), Mary Faber (Bessie Wattie), Stephen Gabis (Old Tom), Will LeBow (The Squire), Kathleen McCafferty (Miss Ronberry), Kristine Nielsen (Mrs. Watty), Roderick McLachlan (John Goronwy Jones), and Bobbie Steinbach (Sarah Pugh).

Danny Bryck, Dan Lovely, Patrick James Lynch, Michael Moran, and Brian Vaughan play the boys from the coal mine who enroll in Miss Moffat’s new school, while the ensemble of Villagers includes Lizzie Bassett, Andy Blaustein, Eliza Fichter, Daniel George, Abigail Gillian, Zachary LeClair, Farrell Parker, Raquel Sandler, Sophie Sinclair, Jordan Ben Sobel, Derek St. Pierre, and Greg Stone.

The creative team includes scenic designer James Noone, costume designer Robert Morgan, lighting designer Frances Aronson, and sound designer Drew Levy.
