Paula Plum to Direct Happy Medium Theatre’s Romeo and Juliet

Boston actress Paula Plum is set to direct Romeo and Juliet for Happy Medium Theatre, running August 10-25 at the Boston Center for the Arts’ Plaza Theater.

With street fights and murder in the dead of night, Romeo and Juliet tells the story of two young people trying to carve out a space for love.

The cast will feature Michael Anderson (Lord Capulet), Brian M. Balduzzi (Balthasar), Tina Blythe (Lady Capulet), Mikey DiLoreto (Benvolio), Lauren Elias (Juliet), Mark Estano (Gregory/Page), June Kfoury (Nurse), Cristhian Mancinas-Garcia (Abram/1st Guard), Johnnie L. McQuarley (Romeo), Joey C. Pelletier (Mercutio), Kiki Samko (Prince/Chorus), William Schuller (Sampson/Apothecary/2nd Guard), Sharon Squires (Lady Montague), Audrey Lynn Sylvia (Servant/Peter/Sister Joan), Michael Underhill (Tybalt), Arthur Waldstein (Friar Lawrence), and Jesse Wood (Paris).

The design team will include Jillian Clark (costume design), Daniel Chavez (lighting design), Bryan Prywes (set design), Melissa deJesus and Chris Larson (sound design), and Angie Jepson (fight choreography).
