The Robber Bridegroom

The Robber Bridegroom is a lively and joyous romp of a musical, which launches the 9th season for The American Century Theater.
The musical was adapted from a novella by Eudora Welty (itself adapted from a Grimm’s fairy tale), with book and lyrics by Alfred Uhry (Driving Miss Daisy) and music by Robert Waldman. The Robber Bridegroom (1976), as remounted by TACT, will not be played for cheap laughs but will meld irony and Southern Gothic chills with joyous and vibrant music.

Saturday matinees begin on September 20. There is a Sunday matinee on September 28. All matinees are at 2:30 PM.
