About the Show
Music & Lyrics by William Finn; Book by Rachel Sheinkin; Conceived by Rebecca Feldman
February 19-28, 2027 – Bean-Brown Theatre at Shelton State
If there’s anything harder than being a middle school student, it’s being a nerdy middle school student. When local spelling bee winners gather to compete for the county title, they discover that nerdom doesn’t have to be as lonely as they once thought. United in their love of spelling, these precocious, pubescent pupils set out to experience the thrill of winning but find something more transcendent along the way.
