About This Show

Meredith Willson’s The Music Man takes place in a small Iowa town in 1912 where life runs along the lines of boring, run-of-the-mill, and conservative mindset, until Professor Harold Hill steps off the train claiming to be an upstanding man of music. Instead, he is traveling from town-to-town under a variety of disguises with the intent of gathering in the local’s money and leaving town before anybody knows what’s happened. But, Hill falls in love with Marian, the town librarian and that puts a cog in his smooth-running wheel of deception. Stephen Casey directs.
