Coming to America

Coming to America, created by James Hindman, is a new “poperetta” by the author of hit musical Pete ‘n’ Keely. Favorite songs from the turn of the century tell the true stories of five immigrants who changed our America forever when they walked through the gates of Ellis Island. If these five people hadn’t crossed the ocean, the America we share would be a very different place.

A talented cast of singer/comedians create a new American vaudeville, transforming into literally dozens of characters. Irish, Jewish, Italian, Swedish, and Greek–America changed them all. And they changed America in some unexpected ways. It’s a wild spin in the melting pot as these funny-but-true Ellis Island stories build into one universal story of American dreams.
