Wendy Lane Bailey

She’s a little bit country, a little bit rock and roll, and a little bit meshugeh (That’s crazy, y’all). Wendy Lane Bailey bursts into the Metropolitan Room on May 23rd and June 6th with her singular blend of great tunes, a keen eye for the absurd, lush back up vocals, and a few choice anecdotes from her quirky Southern Jewish Baptist Mormon background. Rick Jensen provides musical direction, and Lisa Poulos adds background vocals.

Bailey is renowned for her ability to take widely diverse genres and meld them into one cohesive set. In her Metropolitan Room outing she manages to blend pop, country, emerging composers, folk, classic jazz and standards with ease.
