Veronika Rodriguez Jazz Quintet

Singer Veronika Rodriguez and saxophonist Jean-Philippe Vidal bring sexy energy to their interpretation of jazz classics like Dizzy Gillespies Night In Tunisia -as well as selections from the Great American Songbook, Gershwin, Porter et al. Influenced by progenitors like Ella Fitzgerald and Anita ODay, Veronika enriches the Scat tradition with her sensual, honey-voiced stylings. As leaders of the jazz community in France, their annual concert, Nuit du Jazz, has become the hottest fall attraction in their hometown of Nantes.
Rodriguez has won numerous honors on the Continent, including Best Jazz Recording, Hamburg, and Londons Foreign Jazz Music award.

A specialty of the Big Band is Jean-Philippes recreation of the arrangements that orchestrators such as Nelson Riddle and Billy May provided for people like Sinatra and Nat King Cole.
