About This Show

Tony Richards began his professional career as a singer on tour with members of the Lawrence Welk Orchestra, later performing in two world-premieres, Weddin’ Day by Ralph Blane & Hugh Martin & Song for Cyrano by Robert Wright & George Forrest. After moving to Los Angeles, he started singing at Luigi’s Supper Club, where he met Sergio Franchi. Soon after, he became Franchi’s choice for his understudy in the West Coast premiere of Nine. He also played Judd in the West Coast revival of Oklahoma!, receiving rave reviews praising his ability to "take Judd beyond the stereotype of a brooding loner using his powerful voice to eerie advantage."

Richards also performed on the road in opera, musical theatre & nightclub venues, from leading roles with the New York City Opera, to portraying Raoul in the Toronto production of Phantom of the Opera alongside Colm Wilkinson. He has toured throughout the US & Europe & was a headliner for Celebrity Cruises. Most recently, he helped to establish a national cabaret series in Pittsburgh (Cabaret Pittsburgh).

Tony now returns with this tribute to the songs made great by the singers who have inspired him; Johnny Hartman, Arthur Prysock, Vic Damone & Bobby Darin.
