The hills are alive with the Sound of (Black) Music!
A rapturous thematic concert that joyfully reimagines the hit songs from the classic Rodgers & Hammerstein musical through a utopian Afrofuturist lens. Featuring vibrant new gospel, jazz, blues, funk and R&B arrangements, The Sound of (Black) Music is performed by a spirited band of leading performers featuring celebrated vocalists Brianna Thomas, Charenee Wade, Alexis Lombre, Zhanna Reed, musical director Vuyo Sotashe, arrangements by Mathis Picard and is co-directed by Shariffa Ali and Kamilah Long.
