TAEMI Kohama is undoubtedly one of the most successful sopranos of her generation, having achieved extraordinary international acclaim as a soprano singer.

TAEMI made her European debut as an exclusive soprano singer of the Brauenshweig Theater in Germany, singing the role of Elizabeth in Tannhaser. Upon her success with Brauenshweig Theater, she performed Norma, and extended her contract with them for next season. Following this, she made her singing the role of Elsa in Lohengrin. As a result of great success, TAEMI performed regularly as a principal soprano singer in major operas including Madama Butterfly, and Tatiyana of Eugine Onegin, Tosca and Don Giovanni.

TAEMI is a recipient of Japan Music Competition, the Pavarotti Competition, the Tokyo International Competition, the 9th Tchaikovsky Competition, the 3rd Muramatsu Prize, the 20th Giroud Prize, the 1st Russian Song Prize, the Art Culture Prize of Yonden.
