In Verona, Italy, Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight despite their families’ ancient grudge. In a world of “us” versus “them,” the lovers secretly marry and hope for a future where they can love freely. Co-produced by Apocalyptic Artists Ensemble and the Classical Theatre of Harlem, this pared down production, adapted specifically for young audiences, will transform academic spaces into the streets of Verona, giving students a front row seat to a unique theatrical experience.
