About This Show

Gone are the days when Jerry Garcia and the Grateful Dead roamed the country, but his legacy is the music he left behind. Playin’ Dead, Boston’s top Grateful Dead tribute, brings that Deadhead vibe to its shows.

Featuring former members of Dark Star Orchestra, Laughing Water, Electric Hummus and Tampa’s Uncle John’s Band, Playin’ Dead is a six-piece rainbow full of sound that proves the Dead’s music will never stop.

The band has performed at numerous benefits, raising money for Hurricane Katrina victims, the Boston Food Bank, The Rex Foundation and GDRadio.net
