About This Show

Windows of Lucidity is a new one act musical written and performed by Douglas C. Williams and Michael Ryan. It uses a witty, tongue-in-cheek script, conceived by Williams, along with eight eclectic, original songs written by Ryan, to ask and answer some age old questions; “What is the truth about life? Can it be known? and, What good is knowing it?” The authors/actors use self-effacing humor and very untypical show music to produce a very entertaining and uplifting play.

The plot surrounds Mike, a hard drinking dreamer; and his evolved self, a wise cracking piano player, also named Mike. Together they discover the “windows of lucidity”, those internal feelings of clarity every person senses and hears, but not everyone heeds. It is a show that attempts nothing less than to touch people in ways that will make the everyday extremely uncommon place.
