New York City
Dan, a composer, is suffering from a major case of creative block. Then a somewhat demented producer asks him to write the score for a big-budget, Broadway Shakespeare musical epic. What a Piece of Work is Dan chronicles the poor boy’s struggles to create and complete his masterpiece. Dan manages to alienate all those closest to him, and as he sinks deeper and deeper into depression and desperation, can he figure out what he really wants? Book and lyrics are by Richard Looney with music by Daniel Shamir (with additional lyrics by Shamir and William Shakespeare). Jason St. Sauver choreographs and directs.
The performance is FREE and open to the public.
