About This Show

Unwanted souls and their dark stories…A vibrant underworld comes to life with macabre humour, powerful images, live music, songs and theatrical animation. “Edgar Allan Poe and Tim Burton seem to have paid a visit to Theatre Lab…” There is something strange about “Velvet Town”, where only girls live. This, along with the gothic and isolated location captured the imagination of Margot the ‘Witch’, who when she wakes up in the underworld following her own death, unravels her version of the mysterious happenings. While trying to remember the events that led to her death, Margot encounters familiar faces: Taluna the ‘Femme Fatale’ who lives in the rubbish, Elvira the eccentric Cook, Graciela the anorexic model, La Puppet the Ballerina with the huge feet, and Edgar The Mayor – The Velvet Man – who invented the town and the “Big Day” is coming…
