About This Show

The Artists Theatre Group, in association with Twenty Feet Productions, present The Turn of the Screw, by Jeffrey Hatcher, from the story by Henry James. Marc Silberschatz directs.

A young governess journeys to a lonely English manor house to care for two recently orphaned children. Shortly thereafter, she begins to see apparitions; specters haunting the children & she must find a way to stop the fiends before it’s too late.

Viewed through the lens of a rapidly disintegrating mind in which identity, motive & even reality itself, are suspect, the production examines the basic human need for connection & the terrible consequences when that connection is denied. But be warned: this is NOT your mother’s Turn of the Screw! Lit only with candles held by each performer, nearly the entire world of the play is created through the performances of the two-actor cast: Erin Cunningham & Tim Scott.

PLEASE NOTE: ABSOLUTELY NO LATE SEATING!!!
