The Storm Theatre continues its 2004-2005 season with the Elizabethan valentine The Shoemaker’s Holiday by William Shakespeare’s contemporary, Thomas Dekker. One of the most popular plays of the Elizabethan era, The Shoemaker’s Holiday chronicles the rise of a young aristocrat commissioned to join Henry V for his invasion of France, but stays behind in London disguised as a shoemaker to woo a middle class girl who he has been forbidden to see. Storm Artistic Director Peter Dobbins directs.
Opening Night is set for Thursday Feb. 3rd at 7:30 PM.
