About This Show

The Storm Theatre presents the New York premiere of The Salvage Shop, written by Jim Nolan and directed by Peter Dobbins. Set in contemporary Ireland, the play explores reconciliation, redemption, love and failure through the fraught relationship of legendary local bandleader Sylvie Tansey and his gifted son Eddie. After twelve years, Sylvie still hasn’t forgiven his son for abruptly leaving the band, but when his father falls ill, Eddie returns home to care for him. Can a father whose time is running out and a son who’s lost his way make amends? With wit, heart and the bond of music, these two men attempt to heal old wounds, salvage their relationship and find the ability to forgive.
