About This Show

The Loves of Shakespeare’s Women was inspired by John Gielgud’s one-man show The Ages of Man. Solo performer Susannah York thought: “Why not an Ages of Women? Passionate women, comic women. Subtle, savage, submissive or scheming women. Young, old, jovial, grieving women.” Familiar themes emerged when she delved into Shakespeare’s canon. She began to see a uniting thread in these women’s lives.

Presented by The Federal Bureau of Entertainment.

The performances on Wednesday, August 25 at 8pm and Sunday, August 29 at 2pm are signed for the hearing impaired. There are talk backs following the Wednesday matinees on August 18 and 25 and the Tuesday evening performance, August 24.
