“Hee Haw and Mama’s Family meet downtown performance art in this hilarious dysfunctional melange of true grits and hominy. Be sure to bring in the holidays with Jo-Lynn’s hillbilly hoedown!” — Michael Musto
From the creator of The Mad World of Miss Hathaway (an original musical parody of Mad Men) and Attention Deficit Disorder Cabaret. The Jo-Lynn Butterfly Country Hour of Sunshine Christmas Special is back with a brand new episode after leaving audiences in stitches last year at the Wild Project. It’s 1974 and this Christmas, semi-famous country music sensation Lannie Jo-Lynn Butterfly, is out of the sanitarium, and has adopted a new “self-help” doctrine that is suspiciously “cult-ish.” Along for the hilarity is her cranky mother, simpleminded daughter, precocious grand daughter, assorted local hillbillies and a few ex-husbands bringing plenty of laughs, music, mayhem, and baggage.
