About This Show

Based on the deeds, valour, and the lust of the ancient Greek demi-gods, The Ixion Burlesque Show features some of New York’s top performers, including The World Famous *BOB*, pianist Albert Garzon, female vocalist Alice Goodman, and old-school burlesque drummer Mark Kirby. Epic narrator Matthew Barnes takes you back to the 1920’s and tassle-twirlers Ruby Valentine, Honey Birdette, Pandora, Springcentric, and Crème Brulee seduce you by way of Greek mythology.

This month, Ixion Burlesque presents The Pleiades. Based on Laura Keene’s 1860 burlesque Seven Sisters, this epic tale involves the sexy, violet-haired daughters of Atlas. Seven Sisters is often cited as the first American burlesque show, having closed when the Civil War began.
