About This Show

The Gift of Winter tells the tale of the days before snow, when Winter was a cold, bleak, and boring time of year. Fed up with getting the cold shoulder from Winter, a small town decides to revolt in the form of an official proclamation demanding an end to Winter. Led by Mayor Maude, the hapless delegation visits Winter himself to discuss the matter, ultimately realizing that compromise and understanding are far more effective than demanding change.

Based on the book of the same name by John Leach & Jean Rankin, the musical features music by David Evans (Children’s Letters to God, Birds of Paradise), lyrics by Faye Greenberg (If You Give a Mouse a Cookie), and book by Michael Slade (Novel: Bed of Nails).
