$18.00 general; $15.00 students/seniors
Ivy Theatre Company proudly presents the world premiere of The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched), an original play by award-winning playwright, Micheline Auger (recipient of the 2012 Paul Green Award) and directed by Audrey Alford. Sexually adventurous Kareena delves into monogamy with her boyfriend Teddy, while her inhibited best friend, Sam, starts dating Kyle, a pornographer. After a makeover, a scandal, and a documentary, the real question is, who is the donkey? The play asks what sexual empowerment and intimacy is in the age of online porn, dating, and pop culture. The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched) is proudly published by Indie Theater Now. The Feminism of a Soft Merlot or (How the Donkey Got Punched) contains adult content and is not suitable for children and youth under 18.
