About the Show

Driving rhythms pulsate. Steamy bodies violently gyrate. Libidos rage out of control. It’s Saturday night at the hottest club in NYC. The denizens of the dance floor are on the prowl. A competition between friends to see who can attract more members of the opposite sex has erupted into an all out war. The first casualty of that war will be love. Charles Messina’s explosive new play, The Battle explores the volatile relationships between male and female club goers and how those relationships are forever changed following an ominous occurrence. The play is inspired by such real life events as the 2001 bombing of a Tel Aviv nightclub and the 2002 disco bombing in Bali.
