About the Show

The Andersonville Trial, by Saul Levitt, is the true story of the trial of Captain Henry Wirz, who was the commander of a Civil War prison camp where 14,000 men died due to atrocities and conditions. Was this man to hang for following the orders of his superiors? Would he even have been on trial had he not been on the losing side? The issues and questions that arise, seen in context of Nuremberg, Bosnia, and of course…Iraq, are chillingly timeless. This is a “Reader’s Theater” production, which means there are scripts in hands, however this production is becoming far more like a full-scale production every day!

You are invited to drink, interact with cast before and after, and think and be moved in between. TEST Theater is a 501(c)3 organization, whose mission is to make history exciting for youth and adults through the medium of theater.
