About This Show

Long popular with the five- to 12-year-old crowd for classes, musicals and in-school programs, TADA! has expanded its offerings over the last three years in order to reach more teens. Although teens have the final say as to “what’s hot” in music, fashion, food and other pop culture staples, they remain under-represented in the world of theater – both as performers and as the subject of new plays. Therefore, TADA! presents The 15th Annual Staged Reading Series, free readings of new plays by professional playwrights, performed by teens for teens. The series begins with The 7th Disorder and Loser on Monday, October 23 and continues on Wednesday, October 25 with Sweep Under Rug. A Talk-back with the cast, playwright, and director follows every show.

Staged readings are performed by teens from the TADA! Resident Youth Ensemble with a few adult actors for adult roles. Running times vary. The series is made possible in part by the Gregory Millard Memorial Fund and the Dramatists Guild Fund, Inc.
