About This Show

Award winning poet Sarah Jones brings her unique brand of humor and poignant social commentary back to New York City with her one-woman show Surface Transit. Directed by Gloria Feliciano, Jones takes the audiences on a journey, painting vivid urban portraits through the eight characters that she inhabits onstage. Her portrayals include a male hip-hop head addicted to rhyming, a Jewish grandmother with a nasty cough, and Italian cop with an attitude and a fierce homegirl from around the way, among others whose lives are inextricably linked through an “action/reaction” series of events.
