About the Show

Spotlight: Playwrights 2002 is an evening of intense theatrics set amid an intimate, eclectic Manhattan
venue. Directed and designed by Scott A. Josephson,
the event emphasizes the importance of original works;
it combines drama, music, and poetry for an unbridled
spectacle of sight, thought, and sound.

The show presents the debut of three original one-act
plays as dramatic staged readings. Plays were selected from a vast pool of submissions from around the world and include: Liferaft by Achim Dangerfield, Amelia by Tilson, Curtin, & Nugent, and Otello and Desdemona by Virginia Hayden.
